I don’t even want to TALK about it! My steel will is non-existent. I went out to a gourmet Southern restaurant Thursday night and I SERIOUSLY thought I could control myself. I was absolutely obnoxious. I practically licked my plate and the plates of those around me.

As soon as I found out we have this photo shoot, I dropped a quick 5. But let me be honest. I let myself go a little in 2009 and I put on 15, so I still have 10 to go. I knew I wouldn’t lose that with a week to go before the shoot, but I figured I could drop another 1 or 2. But STUPID ME goes and agrees to one lunch and dinner after another. I tell them all, “Oh, but I have to be good! I have to eat chicken breast and broccoli!” But nobody wants you to be good. They don’t even TRY to give you a dirty look when you sneak in a little something-something that is covered in cheese and goo. They secretly want you to fail. I know this. And these are my FRIENDS!!!!

But it’s my fault. I should say no to even scheduling these things in the first place. But I went out to lunch on Wednesday…lunch and a dinner on Thursday…I’m going out to lunch and dinner on Friday…I’ve got a kid’s birthday party on Saturday AND Sunday. How could I do this to myself?? And how much does it cost to photoshop???

This is me & James Morrison…

Back in 2008 I think?! Or 2007. When I was super blonde & super tan.
james

So I’m sitting in my office…listening to some POINT music. I have a Gavin Degraw CD playing right now. Whatever happened to him? Gosh – he is soo talented. I love his voice. I’m listening to and LOVING the song “Nice to Meet You Anyway”. He reminds me of James Morrison. Another POINT artist…who, after I met him & heard him perform a song – I was sold. His song was McCoy & I’s “1st Dance” song at our wedding. The song is called “You Give Me Something”. I love a good slow jam. Feel free to play the YouTube videos below & listen to the 2 songs. Have a great Thursday!

XO,

WooWoo

Here’s the James Morrison song we played at our wedding…LOVE IT!

And here’s Gavin DeGraw’s song…

Rachel Zoe may be scary looking but she can sure dress. I just stumbled across her website and she has listed her must-have wardrobe essentials for January 2010. Some of the items are a little pricey so I’m going to find some cheaper versions for you!

Here’s the link to the list:

http://www.rachelzoe.com/2010-january-basics-guide

1. A studded but not over-the-top-big handbag

2. Black Bodycon dress

3. A gold watch-This one is only 52 bucks and it looks nicer than my $200 Michael Kors one!

4. Colorful Flats-These are only $69 from Steve Madden. I have been wanting them forever and they are perfect for spring and would even work with black tights now.

BLOG1 BLOG2

Hey friends! I’m back to blogging…and feeling better than I was earlier this week when I tried to blog. I was just having “1 of those days”. A day only the ladies will understand! Am I right? HA!

So this week has been much better…Chuck returned from vacation. I’m VERY happy he’s back. I missed my Chuck – but I was glad he had some time off & spent an amazing couple of days at Great Wolf Lodge with his kids. Check out Chuck’s blog for video & pics. Soo cute!

My older brother Matthew has been in town this week. Matthew, his wife and 3 kids moved to Memphis back in July, and he hasn’t been home since.  We miss them soo much – and it was a treat to have him back this week. Even if he was in town for work – he’s a detailer in the Navy, so he has been busy all week!! But we were able to grab dinner Monday night at No Frill Grill and last night at Fellini’s. Good times! That’s a pic of my 2 big brothers below. Matthew & Michael. Yes – they are twins. Identical twins. And guess what? My mom is a twin too! So does that mean I will have twins one day? Hmmm….we will see. PS – Michael is on the left, Matthew on right.

OK – why is “Woo crazy for Lu”??!! I’ve blogged about it before…this yoga/gym clothing company called Lululemon. They sell the most amazing clothes for you to wear to the gym, lounging around the house, to yoga or pilates. The best!!!! So comfy & totally “sweat friendly”. I don’t own as much Lululemon as I would like, cause it is a little $$$$. But it’s worth it to buy 1 pair of pants & a tank. And now I think I have to buy this cute hoodie…with THUMBHOLES!

SOLD. I gotta buy this…CLICK HERE to buy yours!!

OK! Have a great night.

Why did Britney Spears’ ex-husband pack on 40 pounds? Because he was depressed. AWW! Poor guy. KFED said after his 2006 divorce from Britney – and all the drama with the custody of the 2 kids, Kevin became an emotional eater. And of course – an over-eater! KFED revealed all on VH1’s Reality TV show “Celebrity Fit Club”.

Of course it starts to get colder again just in time for the weekend. I decided to be as lazy as possible on Friday and take the entire weekend off from exercise of any kind. I just didn’t want to overdo it you know? I know I always complain about not having a nickname and SLOTH seems to be fitting. Maybe J-Sloth since it has a nice jersey shore ring to it. Since I give up on life completely for the majority of the weekend I decided to binge eat as much as possible. Actually it wasn’t really a decision it was one of those, you forget that you ate pancakes 2 hours ago and then you manage to down an entire pizza. Oh the healthy standards I keep for myself.

On a lighter note, literally, I took my mom out to dinner on Saturday to a fancy sushi restaurant we have been wanting to try. My mom is living with me now and finally has a job (yea!) It was the end of her first week and I thought it would be nice to celebrate. What better way than to spend money you are finally making right?! lol. Sometimes I wish I could say that then I went out and partied all night long but let’s face it…you know me and that is just not how things go down. In bed by midnight and loving it! I did manage to pull myself together earlier on Saturday and head out to the mall to get some work done. No, not shopping but some Kidd Kraddick in the Morning work! It’s so funny to see how many people go to the mall to socialize. I don’t think I’ve ever been to the mall to “hang out”. I only go to the mall when I have money, am stressed, and want to buy myself something that is going to sit in my closet until I give it away. I talked to some 15 year old boys and they were there just chillin. No reason to be there other than checking out hot girls and getting away from their parents. When I was that age we would linger around 7-11 and get ice cream then ride our bikes around. Not these kids. They are trying to look up girls skirts that are walking on the upper level of the mall. Pervs.

Something else serious that I noticed this weekend is how my boyfriend Maximus the Pug has been getting serious separation anxiety. Part of me thinks that he is just spoiled but another part of me feels like a bad pet owner. Anyone have solutions for dealing with bratty pets? His moping around really wears me down by Sunday. He treats me like the scorned wife that is mad at her husband (me) for going to play golf with his friends all day. Even worse, I think he is starting to like my mom better than me!

Charlie and Reesa set out to exploreIt was an amazing 10 days off with the kids.   The highlight, invariably, was our stay at Great Wolf Lodge.   If you have never been to Great Wolf Lodge with the kids…try to do it (even if it means socking away 20 bucks a month for a few years).

They have refrigerators and microwaves in each room…so I brought in a bunch of snacks and things to keep the kids fed when the munchies set in.   It was good for me and the kids to get some long overdue extended play time since winter had us biddle-whacked inside the house.

…and with them keeping it 82 and beautiful inside…well, we made it a wonderful time.

Charlie had his first shot at “Wolf Rider Wipeout” and finally found his groove after watching a few of the older kids.   He soon realized that first, you must become steady on your board before getting crazy.   The smile on his face tells the story!

Theresa’s favorties were Crooked Creek and the fun for Fort Mackenzie!

Theresa on Crooked Creek

And of course…Charlie had to keep going back to “Surf Some More, Dad”

great_wolf 020

After an amazing three days at the lodge following the trip to visit with “Uncle Brian” and “Gramma”…the kids could not stop talking about our family trip.   All the while home, the covnersation popped between Uncle Brian’s crazy cat, Julie…Gramma’s chalk board…the bunk beds at Great Wolf Lodge…and when we could do it all again.  :)     This is a good thing…and this was my best vacation…EVER.
