The American Idol finalists sang Carole King songs last night and the standout, by far, was 22 year old James Durbin after his electric reworking of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” EVERYone was talking about it on Facebook and personally, I thought it was GOOD, but I wasn’t doing back flips or anything. Here’s a little bit of that performance. Tonight’s performers are Bruno Mars, Crystal Bowersox and American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez.

Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey last night to run through their wedding ceremony. Tomorrow, it’ll be for real. The couple and their wedding party were in the cathedral for about 90 minutes. They are now apart until the official ceremony.

The governor of California is making a movie return. Arnold Schwarzenegger is to appear in a new entry in the iconic “Terminator” film franchise. He’s awaiting a script. He starred in “The Terminator” in 1984 and its sequel, 1991’s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” He had a cameo in “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.”

Geri Halliwell has called for a Spice Girls reunion in time for the London 2012 Olympics. The 38-year-old singer admitted she would love nothing more than to get back together with her bandmates to perform at the opening ceremony. She’s waiting to hear from the others. (Seriously, SOME antiques just need to stay on the shelf.)

Saturday Night Live funnyman Jason Sudeikis will host this year’s MTV Movie Awards June 5. Starting May 3, fans can cast their votes for winners in one-of-a-kind categories like Best Scared As S*** Performance, Best Jaw-Dropping Moment and Best Line from a Movie.

Wrestling star Chris Jericho was smacked down on “Dancing With the Stars,” last night. Considering one of the judges said he looked like lump of granite when he danced Monday night, I’m not surprised he’s out. Guest performers included Pia Toscano, New Kids on the Block, and the Backstreet Boys. (Chuck’s favorite.) Jericho joked he can now attend the royal wedding Friday. He’s a good sport.

Lindsay Lohan told Jay Leno last night that her jail sentence made her feel numb, and was a wake-up call.  She attributed her troubles to success at an early age. She said she’s now ready to take responsibility. She’s preparing for her 360 hours of court-ordered community service at the Downtown Women’s Center in L.A. She will prepare & serve meals, sort donations, and assist case managers. After completion, she heads over to the city morgue.

Justin Guarini (you know the guy from American Idol season 1 and he was in Chuck’s favorite movie “From Justin to Kelly”….) well, he’s a new dad. The American Idol alum and his wife welcomed a son, William Neko Bell Guarini, at 6:26 a.m. on Tuesday. He joins big sister Lola, age 6, from his wife’s prior relationship. The pregnancy lasted 10 months and 1 week. (I thought he was gay………No?….)

Mark your calendars. It’s official. The date for the 84th Oscars ceremony is set for Feb. 26, 2012. The event is to take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.  A 90-minute red-carpet show will immediately precede the ceremony broadcast. Nominations are to be announced Jan. 24, 2012.

Maroon 5 and Train have announced plans for a North American summer concert tour of 40 shows. They’ll appear at Farm Bureau Live in Va Beach Aug 3. Tickets go on sale May 7. The fan club pre-sale is May 3. Gavin DeGraw will be their opening act.

With all she has going on, Lindsay Lohan took time out Monday to tape an interview for “The Tonight Show” that will air tonight. Kristin Chenoweth was bumped to make way for her. She talks about her court appearance and brief jailing Friday, her family, and her role in the John Gotti movie. Also yesterday I said that she would be doing community service. Well 360 of those hours will be at a women’s shelter and 120 days at the LA County Department of Coroner. (THAT’S RIGHT! THE MORGUE!!) An official at the morgue said she’ll be doing basic janitorial work. “She won’t be handling any dead bodies but she’ll certainly see them.”

Elton John reveals his infant son’s breastmilk is delivered by FedEx from his biological mother. They do not have a lavish nursery. They do have 1 nanny. They want Zachary to grow up with the right values by getting an education and earning his own way.

Well the Easter holiday didn’t keep movie goers away. Water for Elephants, starring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon came in at number 3 with $17.5 million dollars. Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family debuted at number 2 with $25.8 million dollars and number one STILL belonging to Rio with $26.8 million. Making the worldwide total to date $286 million dollars.

So just last week Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail. Well, she’s been released already. Sound familar? (Cough cough!! Paris Hilton!! Cough!) A court hearing, a jail sentence, a quick release. She was sentenced to 120 days for violating probation by taking a designer necklace. She’s free on appeal. She must also do 500 hours of community service. (I hope they make her scoop poop.)

It looks like Beyonce’s rumored performance at the royal wedding reception won’t happen after all. The ceremony is not on her schedule and she has a shoot in New York on Saturday. (Chuck is hoping Rebecca Black will do it instead.)

It’s official: Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are husband and wife. They exchanged personalized vows on Friday in front of about 40 guests. The guests thought they were attending an engagement party. They witnessed the wedding at a private estate in Malibu.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is leaving Brown university but has denied it is because of bullying. She has decided to pursue a different course of study not offered at Brown. She will transfer to another university next semester. Watson said she loved her time at Brown. (I LOVE Hermione Granger! They better leave her alone or I’ll give them a knuckle sandwich for bullying my favorite wizard!)

Stefano Langone was finally eliminated last night on “American Idol.” (I know a lot of people saying he needed to go, I agree…) Joining him at the bottom were Jacob Lusk and Haley Reinhart. Musical guests were Katy Perry, Kanye West and David Cook. The remaining finalists will perform songs by Carole King next Wednesday.

Justin Timberlake will host the season finale of ‘Saturday Night Live’ May 21. Lady Gaga will be musical guest. Her new album “Born This Way” will be released 2 days later. Timberlake will next be seen in the raunchy comedy ‘Bad Teacher’ with Cameron Diaz June 24.

Last night on American Idol it was Songs From the 21st Century and while all the performers did pretty well, 2 in particular stood out to me. Hailey Reinhardt did Adele’s “Rolling In the Deep” and maybe it’s just because I really LOVE the song, but I think she did great! Another top performer of the night in my opinion was James Durbin who sang “Uprising” by Muse and judges actually RAVED about him. See who gets eliminated tonight when Idol airs at 8pm on Fox. David Cook and Katy Perry will perform.

If you think its nerve racking when YOU have to meet your spouses parents, imagine how Kate Middleton feel. Queen Elizabeth hosted a lunch for Kate’s parents on Wednesday. It’s the first time Prince William’s future in-laws have met the monarch. The Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, invited Michael and Carole Middleton to dine at Windsor Castle.

The Rebecca Black haters have gone too far. Anaheim police are investigating two separate death threats made to the Friday singer — one made by phone, another by e-mail. They want the song off the internet. Black told USA TODAY she’s not buying into the criticism.

A syndicator has announced a development deal with Ricki Lake for a possible fall 2012 launch of a new talk show. The program will be based in Los Angeles and will cover topical conversation. Ricki’s previous talk show ran from 1993 to 2003.

Michael Lohan has agreed to accept a lifetime membership to the dating website WhatsYourPrice.com. It specializes in members offering money to go on a first date. Lohan says he’ll donate the money to rehab and recovery programs. He is 50. (Say it with me ladies, “Nooooo thank you…”)

She was praised as a “golden goddess” Monday, but now Petra Nemcova is a “Dancing With the Stars” reject. She was in a 3-way tie for last place Monday. Last night, she was at the bottom of the public vote with Kirstie Alley and Chris Jericho. She plans to continue dancing.

Ousted “American Idol” contestant Pia Toscano will be performing on “Dancing With the Stars” next Tuesday. Her new love, Mark Ballas, will be dancing as she performs. (This should make Chuck happy, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys will also be special guests.)

The producers of Glee have fired a female extra for disclosing the names of the prom king & queen in an upcoming episode on twitter. (And I know these Glee fans are SERIOUS BUSINESS, so that was a big no no.) The show will amend contracts to include social networking in non-disclosure agreements. Any future leaks will result in fines or loss of pay.

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller’s toddler twins will stay with their mother and her family, as agreed on in a March 10 settlement. After their court hearing Tuesday, Sheen left to fly to Washington, DC for last night’s stage show, where he was said to have mocked President Obama and Sarah Palin. (That man has got some brass ones doesn’t he?)

AS EXPECTED, the latest Bachelor star Brad Womack and his fiance Emily Maynard have BROKE OFF THEIR ENGAGEMENT. She said he is not acting like a fiancé. She was concerned over his “hurtful and erratic behavior” and fears of infidelity. (Not surprised, one bit.)

On Tuesday, a “Saturday Night Live” fan asked on the show’s twitter site if Tina Fey is the season finale May 7. The show replied: “Nope! We have Timberlake after that!” The tweet has since been deleted. Justin Timberlake previously hosted SNL in 2003, 2006 and 2009.

**Today is the birthdate of regular FM stereo broadcasting. 50 years ago today in 1961, the FCC authorized FM radio stations to begin broadcasting a stereo signal. The first over-the-air stereo broadcast happened just weeks later, on June 1, 1961. Basically,  Happy Birthday to US!**

It was all about patriotism last night on DWTS. The original karate kid Ralph Macchio and his partner Karina Smirnoff led of the show with a rootin tootin cowboy samba that got mixed reviews from the judges. He earned a 22 along with Kendra Wilkinson and Petra Nemcova. Kirstie Alley is hangin on, barely, she had a 23. The top performers were, as usua, Chris Jericho, Romeo, Chelsea Kane and on the very top last night, Hines Ward with a 26. I dislike the Steelers but I will take me some Hines Ward. Woooweee!

Katy Perry has just announced a series of new U.S. dates on her California Dreams World Tour. But wait wait, don’t get too excited…The tour kicks off stateside June 7 in Atlanta and runs through Aug. 14 in Santa Barbara, CA.  Her closest concert to Hampton Roads will be in Raleigh, NC June 14

Elton John is returning to the Las Vegas Strip for a 3-year run at Caesars Palace. He’ll return with his “Million Dollar Piano” show to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Sept. Tickets go on sale April 25. John completed his first run at Caesars Palace in April 2009. Sooo if you have any Vegas trips planned for the end of the year, you might want to consider some Elton John.

A romantic ride turned scary for The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky Sunday in La Jolla, Calif. Her kayak flipped over and she ended up in the hospital. She needed 5 staples in her head. She did not wear a helmet. Her fiancé, Bachelorette winner Roberto Martinez, rescued her. Awwwwwww how heroic. (BARF.) LOL.
