well, probably for the first time since my football rooting days began…(the womb) I find myself excited for teams other than the steelers…The big game is a less than 2 weeks away…..normally if the Steelers aren’t playing I don’t watch…
But the Saints vs the colts…2 teams that very much deserve to be in the superbowl!
I love cinderalla stories…! so my prediction is that the colts will beat the saints 27-14.
I am not sure what you think…but this should be a good game!
ps….we will be watching it at keagans town center!

wow….yet another great loss in the music biz…..rip jimmy!

James Sullivan, the drummer for the Huntington Beach rock band Avenged Sevenfold, died on Monday, according to Orange County authorities.

The cause of death is still under investigation. Sullivan, 28, was found unresponsive inside his home.

“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan,” band members posted in a statement on the group’s official Web site. “Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

The group, which blended hard rock with hard-core punk, was named Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006.

So, I am browsing the internet and reading all sorts of stories…and come across this one! A little boy is suspended from school because his hair is “floppy!” So much for concentrating on the important things in school like LEARNING! Then I read further and see that he wants to grow his hair out so he can donate it to kids with cancer down the line….OMG! What is this school thinking! What kind of message are they sending!?

So, I tried to take pictures and video of the bay last night since I live right there! The wind was so strong I couldn’t keep my camera still….but luckily we have some great photographers and videographers out and about! I am sure everyone has their story to tell about the damage and flooding! At the bay, the waves were so high I laughed…and then ran back into the house! It was amazing!
But so sad to hear about the lynnhaven fishing pier! My nephews favorite place to go when he visits! Check out this video!! Lets hope they rebuild !
Rain rain go away!!

I have found that in times of trouble, anguish or frustration….stories like this amaze me!

First let me say I am happy that the Yankees pulled it off….This is the story of the NY Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain and his dad!  A must read and kudos to Sports Illustrated for such a great article!  Keep in mind this was written before the game last night….and yes Joba’s dad was there for it!

I’d play a song that would never, ever end

excuse me while I cry…a big part of growing up was listening to Johnny Carson from my bedroom as I was supposed to be falling asleep! (that was a big people show!)  Then eventually watching Johnny and Sidekick Ed McMahon when I got older!  They are now both laughing in the comedy club in the sky but….just when I thought I saw it all…i find this video of Ed McMahon rapping  about his bad credit!

So, as much as I love sitting in the sun and drinking a cold one…I love the month of october possibly the most!  I love the fall leaves, (and if you have never made a trip to the mountains this time of year you need to do so!)  I love football and I love the cooler temps!

With that said, Halloween is almost here! I was reading this article about what some of the most popular costumes are expected to be!

Among them, Taylor Swift and Kanye West…HILARIOUS

Also, Lady Gaga…thats wild and of course Michael Jackson.  I personally think Farah Fawcett deserves  to be a costume this year!

What are you dressing up as?  This is one of the most popular holidays for adults!!  Yes the sexy witch, ghost and devil are all fun…but do you have a unique costume ..??

I am still thinking about my costume…this is going to be fun….when I decide I will def make it know…!

Last year I went as Elvira…well that is what it started out to be..then it kinda ended up being an evil looking chick!  lol….

well, costume tbd

Life is good!

So, I started reading this numerology thingy…while getting ready to head over to the point at city center for our live in the vineyard giveaway! yeah..if you missed it tonight we give away a trip to napa valley!!! it pays to listen to 94.9 the point.. :)

ok, now back to 10/10…..is today a lucky day?  this is what the numerologist had to say:

Whenever numbers within a date are repeated, the focus for that day is more closely defined, a phenomenon I call “keyhole energy.” For October 10, the double 10 reflects a focal point on personal responsibility, independence, individuality and freedom — qualities that are always connected, as neither one can exist without the other. All human beings want freedom, but in order to be free one needs a high degree of personal independence. We all aim to be independent, but without individuality, independence cannot exist. And, of course, with freedom comes responsibility, because without responsibility freedom turns into chaos.

On October 10 the Universal Cycles will cause us to pay just a little bit more attention to the need for personal freedom for ourselves and for others. While Universal Cycles tend to be subtle, they can still manifest in a visible and tangible way, such as in news stories or other events. However, what’s more important is how this keyhole energy, when focused on individual freedom, can help you in your own life. After all, simply being alive makes you a student, whether you realize that or not, and every day is a learning experience. You might as well take advantage of the way the winds are blowing each day, making October 10 a day when you perhaps realize something new about what it means to be free and independent.
